Ultimate Friendsgiving Charcuterie Board - featured image

An impressive yet easy-to-assemble charcuterie board featuring a curated selection of cured meats, creamy cheeses, and seasonal fall fruits like persimmons and figs. Perfect for hosting without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cured meats (Prosciutto, Salami, Spanish Chorizo)
  • 3–4 varieties of cheese (Aged Cheddar, Brie or Camembert, Goat Cheese, Smoked Gouda)
  • Fresh Figs (or dried)
  • Fuyu Persimmons, sliced thinly
  • Apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), sliced into wedges
  • Grapes (Red or Green)
  • Mixed Nuts (Walnuts, Pecans, or Almonds), lightly toasted
  • Crackers (Water crackers, Almond flour crackers, or Baguette slices)
  • Pickles (Cornichons or pickled peppers)
  • Honey or Fig Jam
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Olives (Kalamata or Green)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits and vegetables by washing them thoroughly. Slice apples and pears into wedges, slice persimmons thinly, and leave grapes and figs whole or halved. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning if prepping early.
  2. Arrange the cheeses on the board first, scattering them around rather than grouping them. Cut hard cheeses into cubes or triangles, and leave soft cheeses whole or cut into wedges.
  3. Fold slices of prosciutto or ham loosely to create nests or rosettes for height. Roll salami slices into cylinders or lay them flat in piles. Place these near the cheeses.
  4. Lean crackers against the side of the board or fan them out. Stack baguette slices in a small pile, leaving gaps for easy access.
  5. Fill in empty spaces with nuts, dried fruits, pickles, and olives. Place jams and honey in small bowls strategically around the board.
  6. Drizzle honey over the brie or goat cheese just before serving. Add fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for color. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

[‘Take cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving to allow them to reach room temperature for better flavor.’, ‘Use small bowls for wet items like jams and olives to prevent crackers from getting soggy.’, ‘Provide separate knives for different cheeses to avoid flavor mixing.’, ‘For a gluten-free option, use rice crackers or fresh vegetable sticks.’, ‘Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator; do not freeze.’]
