A creamy, high-fiber overnight oats recipe that requires just 5 minutes of prep time. Perfect for meal prep, this breakfast combines rolled oats, Greek yogurt, and mixed berries for a satisfying, sustained-energy start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare four clean, dry mason jars or glass containers.
  2. Divide the rolled oats and chia seeds evenly among the jars.
  3. Add the milk and Greek yogurt to each jar.
  4. Stir in the honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Mix thoroughly until the oats are fully submerged and the mixture is uniform.
  6. Top each jar with mixed berries.
  7. Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (6-8 hours).
  8. In the morning, stir well. Add a splash of milk if the consistency is too thick, and serve cold.

Notes

Do not use instant oats as they will turn to mush; use old-fashioned or quick-cooking rolled oats. Frozen berries are recommended as they thaw slowly and infuse flavor without making the oats soggy immediately. If the oats are too thick in the morning, add a splash of milk. If too thin, let sit for another hour. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
