This Easy Pumpkin Cold Foam Iced Coffee is a quick, 5-minute fall treat made with real pumpkin, heavy cream, and warm spices. It’s cheaper and faster than a coffee shop version, with a thick, creamy cold foam that tastes like pumpkin pie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus a pinch for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill a tall glass)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature (about 5 minutes) or refrigerate. If using cold brew, skip this step.
  2. In a mason jar or small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Ensure the pumpkin puree is smooth.
  3. Using a handheld milk frother, froth the mixture for 30 to 45 seconds until it doubles in volume and holds soft peaks. Avoid over-frothing.
  4. Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup of milk over the ice.
  6. Slowly pour the cooled coffee over the milk and ice to maintain distinct layers.
  7. Spoon the pumpkin cold foam generously over the top of the coffee (do not pour).
  8. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of pumpkin pie spice over the foam. Insert a straw and serve immediately. Stir gently if desired.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat heavy cream for thick foam. Cool the coffee before pouring over ice to avoid dilution. Adjust maple syrup to taste. The foam will start to dissolve after 5-10 minutes, so serve immediately. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat canned coconut cream instead of heavy cream.
