A quick and easy sheet pan dinner featuring flaky salmon and crispy broccoli coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights, this meal comes together in about 30 minutes with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Wash and dry the broccoli florets, then cut them into bite-sized pieces. Toss them in a large bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a few cracks of black pepper. Spread them out on one half of the sheet pan.
  3. Place the sheet pan in the oven and roast the broccoli for 10 minutes.
  4. While the broccoli roasts, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
  6. After 10 minutes, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Push the broccoli to one side and place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the other side. Brush each fillet generously with the honey garlic glaze. Reserve a little glaze for later.
  7. Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The broccoli should be tender and lightly charred.
  8. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and broccoli. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, pat the salmon dry before seasoning to help the glaze stick. If your salmon fillets have skin, you can easily remove it after cooking—the skin will stick to the parchment paper. To avoid burning the glaze, line the pan with parchment paper. For a spicier version, add sriracha or gochujang to the glaze. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
